A newcomer to the Baja wine arena, Chateau Camou winery is regarded as one of Mexico’s finest. Robert Mondavi, on a visit to Camou, said: “You make your wines like I made Opus One”. Situated in Cañada del Trigo, several hours south of San Diego and a little east of Ensenada, ChateauCamou was founded in 1995.

Chateau Camou’s winemaker, Víctor Manuel Torres Alegre, has a doctorate in enology from the University on Bordeaux. The winery produces a renowned barrel fermented fume blanc and is respected for its precise vineyards maintenance techniques, enlightened gravity and cutting-edge equipment.
